In 1988 New York State legislature passed the Hudson River Park Act designating four miles of waterfront as park space.
Finally vacated by the NYPD in January 2021, work commenced under an 80-day time commitment to convert the 245,000 square foot pier into a venue for concerts, food festivals, art exhibitions and outdoor movie venue for the famed Tribeca Film Festival.
We needed a partner that could help us turn things around on a very tight timeline.
Kee Safety was contacted in February 2021 by the project architect and asked to provide an IBC compliant handrail system that could be supplied and installed in a compressed timeline.
With the site vacated by the NYPD on January 2021, and a planned opening scheduled only five months later, speed of supply and assembly was important.
Being recognized as the world’s leading supplier of modular handrails led the architect to reach out to Kee Safety for ideas, knowing we could supply conceptual sketches, and safe in the knowledge we could meet the stringent time-frame for the project.
